COPA Foam Island Dressing is a super absorbent hydrophilic foam dressing that cushions wounds and traps exudate while protecting skin. COPA Foam Island Dressing has a polyurethane top sheet in “COPA Sunshine” yellow for effective strike-through prevention. COPA Foam Island Dressing products are sterile and individually wrapped.
The pores of COPA Foam Dressings wick exudate into the center, decreasing pooling and skin maceration. The smaller the pore, the less likely new skin on a healing wound will migrate into the foam. Small pore size results in the dressing’s signature feelultra-soft and satiny smooth. COPA Hydrophilic Foam Dressings provide an ideal moist environment for a wide variety of wounds. This highly absorbent, non-linting dressing is designed to protect and cushion moderate to heavily exudating wounds. COPA Foam Dressings are semi-occlusive allowing the exchange of gases such as oxygen and water vapor. Its soft, flexible nature allows the dressing to conform easily to all body contours. COPA Foam Dressings are non-adherent, making dressing changes easy and comfortable. The “COPA Sunshine” yellow polyurethane top sheet works on two levels to help maximize healthy healing. First, it seals exudate into the foam, preventing strike through that causes leakage and encourages cross-contamination. Second, COPA Foam Island Dressings are specially designed to ventilate the wound, further reducing the risk of skin maceration.
In 2006, Kendall discontinued Curafoam Island dressings and introduced COPA Foam Island dressings, an upgraded and enhanced foam wound care product. In 2012, COPA Foam Island became Kendall Foam Island Dressings by Covidien
